PRAWARDA has been working in the area of Natural Resource Management (NRM) since 1994. Apart from increasing soil productivity and water conservation, emphasis is also on improved & sustainable agricultural practices through community participation

PRAWARDA has been working in the area of Natural Resource Management ( since 1994 The interventions in the area started with ISPWDK, and since then has gradually moved from one project another project Evolving in its strategy and approaches as it moved ahead Each of the projects has experimented with different forms of partnership in development, in an attempt to evolve a sustainable model for watershed development The emphasis has always remained on community participation and sustainability Apart from increasing soil productivity and water conservation, emphasis is also on improved agricultural practices

Following programs were taken up in the field of NRM and agriculture production

  • Implementation of NABARD KfW Climate Change adaptation supported by NABARD
  • Implementation of Integrated Tribal Development Fund program, Supported by NABARD
  • Implementation Integrated Watershed Management program supported by Govt of Karnataka
  • Farmers Producers Organizations ( supported by NABARD)

Climate Change Adaptation – Soil Health Project

The program emphasizes on the rehabilitation of degraded soil, thereby moves in the direction of climate proofing of watersheds. Watershed development and management programs have been a resounding success in India and this program strives to take this to the next level.

Tribal Development Fund Project

This project was initiated in April 2010. Project focus is on soil & water conservation activities and Wadi development along with capacity building. Project aim is integrated development of Tribal community and sustainably improving their standard of life through livelihood activities.
